STRUCTURE
The canvas has been relined.
PAINT SURFACE
The paint surface appears to be in good overall condition, clean and ready to hang. There are traces of a craquelure pattern throughout, consistent with a work of this age.
ULTRAVIOLET
UV light reveals scattered patches of retouching to the sky and some further in the foreground. There is also evidence of a small repair, 2cm in length, in the upper left corner.
FRAME
Under glass and held in a plaster gilt frame in fair condition; unexamined out of frame.
