The canvas is original. The canvas is slightly undulated in places. There is some minor craquelure and paint separation in places, particularly in the central section of the work. There are some minor abrasions at the extreme edges and some very minor spots of paint loss in places around the extreme edges. There is a small hole at the centre of the extreme lower edge. There is some minor blooming to the centre and centre left areas of the work. There is some light surface dirt. Otherwise in good condition. Ultraviolet light reveals some cosmetic retouching to the rigging just upper left of centre and some further minor suggestions elsewhere. Unframed.
