carved in relief, the Holy Trinity in the upper part, Saints Peter and Paul on the arms of the cross, four Saints: Nicholas, Zosima, Savvati and German below the Crucifixion scene, dated 7171

Condition
In good condition; some damage to the upper border of the cross; the carving with later overpainting.

The choice of the saints connected with the Solovetksy Monastery may indicate that this cross was made there; it is known that the monastery had a workshop for the production of such objects.
