- open: 44.5 by 62.2cm, 17½ by 24½in.
with Christ Enthroned on the central panel and the Old Testament Holy Trinity with Sarah and Abraham above, the side panels with the Mother of God and St John the Forerunner below the Annunciation, in a metal oklad stamped with continuous floral pattern
Condition
There is some damage to the scroll held by St. John the Baptist, colour inconsistency suggests overpainting. There is a heavy layer of metal cleaner on the underside of the main panel, both of the shponki are lacking and seem to have been removed comparatively recently, the wooden area beneath is relatively clean.
We would advise prospective buyers to view the lot.
