the Mother of God seated on a carved wood throne with foliate decoration and cushions, Christ on his Mother's lap blessing, both crowned and bearing sceptres, the Mother dressed in a blue robe and long gold veil, Christ wearing a white chiton and gold himation, below two angels in prayer on clouds, the gilded background tooled with floral patterns, the border painted to simulate cloisonnĂ© enamel
