Condition

Sanguine and charcoal on paper mounted on board. Surface is dirty. The paper is torn around edges and there are some stains to the surface. Paper has minor foxing and there are many areas of repair and areas where original paper has been lost. In certain areas the underlying board shows through, particularly in the lower left corner, on the lower left side, and in the upper right corner. There are small abrasions to the paper on the nose and several places in the crown. Held in a gold painted wood frame under plexiglass. Unexamined out of frame.
