Condition
Man with Pipe: Oil on canvas. The surface is dirty and covered with a layer of slightly yellowed varnish. There is minor paint loss around the edges of the composition and in each corner. There is a very minor line of paint loss in the roof in the upper left corner. There is a small pin hole in the upper right corner. Under UV no pigments fluoresce but varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. Held in a wood frame and under glass. Unexamined out of frame. Summer Day: Oil on canvas. The surface is dirty and covered with a layer of yellowed varnish. There is minor paint loss around the edges. There is craquelure, particularly in the lower right corner. Under UV no pigments fluoresce but varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. Held in a wood frame and under glass. Unexamined out of frame.
