Condition

Blue Houses: mixed media on burlap. The surface is dirty and covered with a layer of slightly yellowed varnish. There is minor paint loss around the edges and in the lower right corner. There are very minor, faint horizontal lines of craquelure. Under UV no pigments fluoresce but varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. House on a Hill: mixed media on board. The surface is dirty and covered with a layer of slightly yellowed varnish. There is paint loss around the edges and in all corners. The board has been torn and repaired in the lower left corner. There is minor craquelure. The board is slightly buckled. There is minor loss of pigment in the trees. Under UV only the tear repair fluoresces. Cows in a Pasture: mixed media on canvas. The surface is dirty. There is minor paint loss around the edges. There is very minor craquelure in the upper right corner, right side, and in the trees. The canvas is slightly buckled and has a horizontal, faint line along the lower half. No pigments appear to fluoresce under UV. Each composition is held in a wood frame and under glass. Unexamined out of frame.
