  • inscribed at base in Cyrillic painted in the workshop of the artist Malyshev in Sergiev Posad in 1881, with workshop stamp on the reverse, and with gilded silver oklad, by Ovchinnkov, Moscow, 1883

  • 50.2 x 22.2 cm
the saint shown standing at full length, richly dressed, and holding a cross, most of the wooden surface of the icon engraved with scrolling floral ornament and brightly gilded

Condition

some minor losses to icon; the oklad appears to have been cut down to reveal more of the gilt wood surface of the icon
