Excellent condition with very minor surface wear, some scratches. Good weight.

Catalogue Note
In 1874, Grand Duke Vladimir instructed the Chief of Heraldic Office to design a coat of arms for his new wife, Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna (Russian State Historical Archives, f.528, op.1 d.17). The design combines elements of that of the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin with that of Romanov. It was sent for approval of Emperor Alexander II on 9 February 1875.
