  • height: 10.3cm, 4 1/8 in.
the lid centred with Roman numeral XXX set with rose- and circular-cut diamonds, the corners with gold Cyrillic initials of Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna and Grand Dukes Kyrill, Boris and Andrei Vladimirovich, the base applied with the date 16 August 1874-1904 and the Cyrillic initials of Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna, her husband, Prince Nicholas of Greece and Denmark, and their two eldest children, Princesses Olga and Elizabeth of Greece and Denmark, rose-cut diamond-set thumbpiece, the end with vesta compartment containing vestas, blue tinder cord, struck with workmaster's initials and Fabergé in Cyrillic, illegible scratched inventory number 8?563?, 88 and 56 standards

Condition

Very good condition. Minor surface nicks and scratches from age and some use; most of the scratches at the end near tinder cord ring. The vesta compartment with minor lid closure gap.
