Condition

Good overall condition. Top slightly loose and joint with base needs securing. Unusual high quality framing to the underside of the top. Minor chips to the underside of bun feet concealing the castors. This is not visible under normal circumstances. Lovely quality of timber and cabinet-making. Larger than average size for a breakfast table. Good colour and patina.

Catalogue Note

The minimalist design of the present table coupled with other idiosyncratic features such as the larger than average fixed top, distinctive underframing and disc mouldings heading the feet, have affinities with George Bullock's documented furniture. Furthermore the superior quality of cabinet-making and well chosen figured mahogany veneers are also consistent with the output of a leading London furniture producer.
