Catalogue Note

Rinehart made these studies in the context of the famous Indian Congress associated with the Trans-Mississippi and International exposition held in Omaha, Nebraska in 1898. He had recently moved there from Denver where he had been assistant to William Henry Jackson, whose secretary he had married.
