Condition
Very attractive model in overall good condition; some marks and scratches to the mahogany particularly to the legs; structure is solid; the seat rails have been restrengthened with later blocks; the fine leather garniture worn in places ans slightly torn on the edges.
The brass is sometimes worn on the flat surfaces; one back has been damaged, the previous restoration is still visible at the back and needs to be refixed. Despite this, the model is very attractive and rare.
This model is really important in the history of chair design.
The overall shape remains "out of time" and therefore has always been very appreciated through the various periods.
Absolutly to be recommended.

Catalogue Note
