Description

  • each 56cm. high; 1ft. 10in.
each in the form of a standing neo-classical figure in drapery supporting on her head a tazza issuing a central candlenozzle flanked by an eagle head supporting a further candlenozzle, on a socle applied with gilt-metal neo-classical medallions and trophies, on a circular leaf cast base; formerly fitted for electricity

Condition

On one base the gilt-metal roundel is lifting slightly and needs re-pinning and now has a small break and evidence of minor resoldering to other side. The gilt-metal is slightly dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. Some minor pitting. One candlearm is slightly loose and just needs tightening up. Drilled for electricity. Two small drill holes in the back of each socle. Some minor resoldering to the gilt-metal mounts on the socles. There has been some rubbing to the feet and legs of the bronze figures. In overall good condition. An attractive model.
