Description
- 75cm. high, 80cm. diameter; 2ft.5½in., 2ft. 7½in.
the later scagliola top centred by a seated neo-classical female figure in drapery holding a parasol within a band of berried-laurel leaves and stylised anthemions in terracotta on a grey ground, on a columnar support above a concaved-sided triform base applied with a patera at each corner, on flattened bun feet and wooden castors; veneer distressed
Condition
The top is scratched and has water stains as visible from the catalogue photograph. There have been old restorations to the veneer with patches in places. There are later batons beneath the top. The gilt-bronze band at the base of the stem has lost its gilding. There are some hairline cracks to the triform base and generally which can easily be filled. In otherwise good condition.
