Catalogue Note
Elève de Gérôme à l'Ecole des Beaux-arts de Paris, Antoine Druet fit de nombreux voyages en Afrique du Nord. Il visita également l'Egypte et séjourna à Ceylan. Il accompagna le président de la République Emile Loubet en Algérie en 1900 et décida d'y ouvrir une école de peinture.
