Condition
Overall the condition of the alabaster is good. There is wear and dirt consistent with age. Naturally occurring veins are visible throughout, particularly across the face and across the back from the proper left knee down. There is an area of naturally occurring inclusions and cracks at the drapery at the back. The proper left arm and the little finger of the left hand are missing. The surface has several chips and nicks, particularly in the lower half of the figure around the proper right knee, proper left side and at the back. There is a minor chip to the hair on top of his head.
There is part of an old label to the back and two worn labels to the underside, one of which inscribed '24' in ink.
