  • champlevé enamelled copper, old inventory number 17267 scratched into the bottom

Condition

Overall the condition of the pyx is good. There is wear and some minor dirt to the surface consistent with age. The gilding is largely lost and there aresome minor losses to the enamel. The hinge was repaired with wire. The joint of the drum is visible under the hasp. There is some minor greening to the inside. The cross on top of the lid has been lost.
