The catalogue illustration is representative. The relined canvas presents some minor old frame abrasion. The paint surfae is secure and under a very discoloured varnish. A paint loss is present upper right, as visible in the catalogue. The impasto is beautifully preserved. The varnish impedes satisfactory inspection under UV light but some localised retouchings flouresce in the sky to the right. A new varnish would greatly improve the tonality of the painting. Offered in a simple wooden painting with some paint losses.
