Condition
The painting is less bright and luminous than the catalogue illustration suggests. The canvas has an old relining. The paint surface is secure and under a discoloured varnish with some craquelure throughout. Inspection under UV reveals quite extensive retouchings and strengthenings, both older and more recent. Offered in a later wood and plaster frame.
