Condition
Painting ri-lined.
Due to the ri-lining the pigments are flattened.
The ultra violet light reveals thick fluorescent varnish homogeneously spread over the surface, some retouches over the background next to the face on the right-hand side, one over the left eye and one on the nose.
The painting needs cleansing.
The overall condition as to the state of preservation is good.
