From a first hand inspection pushpins holes are visible along the edges, all covered and retouched except for one lower right-hand, and a little loss near the top left-hand side corner (also visible from image in the catalogue). The ultra violet light reveals fluorescent varnish dishomogeneously spread over the surface, an irregular scratch (cm 4x8 circa) in the top left-hand side corner, a log L shaped scratch (cm 20x25 circa) over the lower left hand corner, an horizontal one (cm 8 circa) next to the right-hand edge and another just top of it (cm 4) and an horizontal one (cm 12 circa) near the top right-hand corner; a small retouch near the woman's left harm and some others along the lower edge. The overall condition as to the state of preservation is good.
