Condition

Tightly relined and paint surface has been pressed as a result. there is an overall prominent craquelure pattern throughout. detail in sitters is well retained for the most part; background areas are thin overall. some slight buckling of canvas at upper left corner. ultraviolet light reveals retouching to the faces of most of the figures and to other flesh tones; other retouches scattered here and there on costumes. In a black wood frame with carved and gilt inner edge.
