  • A Roman Marble Herm of Zeus Ammon
  • Height 9 5/8 in. 24.5 cm.
with beard and moustache of drilled voluted curls, eyes recessed for inlay, pointed ears, and ram's horns, his hair arranged in spiral locks above the forehead.

Condition

repaired at the neck with minor loss of material between the two rejoined fragments, nose restored, note abraded proper right eyebrow and damage to top of hair between horns, other minor chips, surface somewhat weathered, plaster (?) stains
