Condition
The copper panel is flat and stable. The painting is in excellent overall condition, covered with a layer of dirt and old varnish. There is a small reotuching to the left of the Madonna's face and some possible very minor strengthening to her face's right edge. The layer of varnsih makes close inspection of any apparent intervention somewhat difficult but it would be safe to assume there are further retouchings, although thy would be only be very minor. Overall the painting is in very good condition but would benefit from a surface clean.
