Condition
The canvas has been relined.
The paint surface is secure and under an old dirty varnish.
The is are a number of old restored damages, one in the lower left corner 6 by 4 cm, three vertical damages on the left hand edge, the largest of 10 cm, and seven vertical damages in the upper right corner and along the right hand edge on the stretcher line, the largest of which is 11 cm long.
Inspection under UV light reveals scattered retouching work and strengthening most notably in the bottom right corner, and to the birds in the foreground and those at the back.
Offered in a painted black and gilt carved wood frame in good condition but a little rubbed in the gilt.
