- Still life of roses, lilacs, imperial crown, auriculas, a parrot tulip and other flowers in a basket, with peaches and blue and white grapes, set on a marble ledge

Condition
The actual painting is even more colourful than the catalogue illustration suggests. The canvas has a wax relining. The paint surface appears well preserved, if a little thin in the background, and is under a fresh varnish. There's a slightly coarse craquelure pattern throughout, which has been filled in in some areas in the background. Inspection under UV light reveals additional scattered retouchings in the background, and some tiny ones and minor strengthening in some of the flowers.
Offered in a decorative plaster and gilt wood frame in good condition.
