Description

Condition

The actual painting is a little warmer in tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. The single panel is sound. The panel is cradled and enlarged with strips of wood of approx. 4 mm. to the left and right sides. No damages are apparent. The paint surface is secure and well preserved. The paint surface is under a dirty layer of varnish. Under UV light some small scattered retouchings can be made out, mainly along the edges and in the sky. Offered in a decorative carved gilt wood frame, a few paint losses. (MW)
