L'esame alla lampada di Wood evidenzia vernice fluorescente sparsa omogeneamente, alcuni ritocchi sui lati in corrispondenza della battitura della cornice ed altri più piccoli sopra i due edifici al centro. Alcuni ritocchi puntiformi sulla figura dell'uomo di spalle sullo sfondo e intorno alla portatrice d'acqua sulla sinistra. Due interventi più vistosi nell'angolo inferiore destro e al centro sul bordo inferiore. L'opera è stata recentemente restaurata e si presenta in buono stato di conservazione. Painting rilined. The ultra violet light reveals fluorescent varnish homogeneously spread over the surface, some retouches along the edges next to the frame, others smaller over the 2 buildings in the middle of the composition. Other retouches over the man in the back and around the woman on the left carring water. Two more in the lower right hand side corner and along the lower edge in the middle. The painting has been rcently restored and the overall condition as to the state of preservation is very good.
