Opera rintelata.
Ad un primo esame si nota un intervento di restauro piuttosto aggressivo che ha svelato l'opera.
L'esame alla lampada di Wood evidenzia un grande ritocco orizzontale sopra la testa dell'uomo lungo cm 30 circa, altri tre a sinistra della donna e alcuni sul lato destro dell'opera sul pavimento e molti altri ritocchi sparsi soprattutto sullo sfondo.

From a first hand inspection it is clear that the work undergone a strong cleansing that removed the finishing touches.
The ultra violet light reveals a long (cm 30 circa) horizontal retouch over the man's head, other 3 on the woman's left hand side, others on the right hand side over the floor and many more spread over the background.
