Ad un primo esame si evidenzia una forte craquelure, evidente soprattutto nella parte alta del cielo. Nell'area superiore sinistra si notano anche dei sollevamenti della pellicola pittorica, ma senza distacchi visibili, invece presenti lungo il perimetro della battitura della cornice. Si notano alcune ammaccature che corrono parallele al bordo superiore. È presente un fortissimo deposito di polveri. L'esame alla lampada di Wood evidenzia una lieve vernice fluorescente soprattutto nell'area inferiore più scura. Non si evidenziano restauri o ritocchi. Si consiglia un'attento intervento di restauro di consolidamento e pulitura per ridare l'originale luminosità e cromia al dipinto. From a first hand inspection craquelure is visible all over the surface, specially over the sky. Over the top left hand side there are dethacments of the pigments as along the perimiter. There are bumps along the top edge. Thick dust deposit is visible. The ultra violet light reveals light fluorescent varnish specially over the darck area, no retouches nor restoration. A careful cleansing and consolidation is suggested.
