Condition
The canvas has a good and effective relining which has not flattened the paint surface. The paint surface appears to the naked eye in good condition, under a slightly discoloured varnish but with no major damages. Inspection under UV light reveals minor infilled losses in some of the darker shades of the seated shepherd to the right and minor scattered retouchings. Overall in good condition. Offered in a carved and gilt wood frame with minor knocks.
