Condition

Unframed. A small hole at the upper right corner. Also some slight tears and nicks to the lower edge. There are some repaired holes and reinforcements to the upper corners, and also a repaired hole to the left of the centre, on the executioner's chest. The chalk, however, is still strong and fresh.

Catalogue Note

Only a small number of drawings have been given to Fiasella, but this previously anonymous sheet is typical of his style and compares well to a compositional drawing in red and black chalk in the Uffizi, representing Isaiah predicting the death of King Hezekiah.
