    bears old attribution on the mount in pen and ink: And.a di Mantegna and on the verso in pencil: Saint Eustace

Condition

Laid down. Cut irregularly to the right edge, the bottom corner and part of the bottom margin, and to the left corner and left hand edge. Badly repaired with tracing paper. The drawing appears to be on a type of old tracing paper. A few holes to the left of the leg, towards the left margin and another below the head of the horse. A few water stains in the mid and lower parts of the figure. Surface dirt and staining. Not in good condition.
