Condition

Canvas is not lined (but there is a shiny, varnish-like substance on the reverse of canvas--has turned canvas dark brown). Work is framed under glass SURFACE: glare from glass and shiny varnish makes it difficult to assess condition accurately; a small hole at lower left; there appears to be scattered craquelure and surface apears to have a "grainy" texture UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: no apparent inpainting, although old varnish is impossible to see through
