Condition
Lined canvas. The surface is stable now but there are small chips of paint loss on the figures and a few in the background; frame abrasion with some associated paint loss; very fine craquelure; the varnish is dull on the female figure, otherwise shiny but very soiled. Under UV light: some areas are covered by masking varnish, particularly in the dark areas around the edges, which appear to have some retouches; no inpainting visible on the figures.
