Condition

Lined canvas. The surface is thin, leaving the ground visible in many areas, particularly on the back of the central female figure. The surface is stable and under a thick varnish but the dry craquelure is still visible underneath. Stretcher marks are still visible. Under UV light: the extent of inpainting is difficult to determine due to the opaque varnish. Some inpainting is visible on the back of the seated woman at center; on a repair at upper right; another one at upper left; on a diagonal repair at lower center under Christ's figure.
