Provenance
Selon la tradition familiale, acquis par Jacques Companeez, grand père de l'actuel propriétaire, directement auprès de l'artiste en 1936-37. Jacques Companeez, scénariste d'origine russe, était né à Saint Pétersbourg en 1906. Il arriva à Paris en 1936 et a probablement rencontré Falk en 1936-37 avant que le peintre ne quitte Paris.

Original canvas.
There is a small tear on the left-hand side of the picture. Several folds, visible on the reproduction, seen on the lower part on righ-hand side. Two scratches on the upper and a scratch on the lower left-hand side.
