Condition
The panel has a repaired horizontal split across center, which joins unevenly in the center area of panel and has visible retouching. There is horizontal blistering to paint surface with some flakes of paint loss. The listering appears stabilized but may still need to be addressed. There is also very fine craquelure throughout. Under UV light: small touches to the horizontal blistering and flaking, with the largest areas in the right half, particularly along the central crack, along the right edge, below, above and on the figures at right. Framed.

Catalogue Note
The subject of this panel would appear to be literary, perhaps derrived from works of Boccaccio.
