Description

Emerald beads measuring approximately 22.6 by 16.7 mm. to 10.8 by 10.4 mm., the larger ruby bead measuring approximately 24.2 by 22.0 mm. and studded with a round diamond, the smaller ruby beads measuring approximately 5.7 by 5.1 mm., interspaced by collet-set rectangular-shaped emeralds, mounted in gold, length 16 inches.

Condition

Indian influence in its design. In fairly good condition with discoloration to the mounting and irregularities throughout. The tumbled emerald beads are a lively shade of medium slightly bluish green and moderately to heavily included. The rectangular-cut emeralds are a slightly lighter shade of bluish green and moderately included. The irregularly-shaped ruby pendant is a vibrant purplish red and heavily included. The ruby beads are similarly colored and moderately included. The modern round-cut diamond near the center of the ruby pendant is approximately near colorless and VS-SI clarity.
