Description

Including a five-strand necklace composed of mostly natural pearls of white to cream, pinkish to purplish grey, greyish brown to brown and grey color measuring approximately 2.50 to 5.80 mm., the clasp set with old European-cut and round diamonds weighing approximately .40 carat, mounted in platinum, length 23½ inches; and a three-strand necklace composed of natural and cultured pearls of white to cream, pinkish to greenish, rosé to brown and grey to black color measuring approximately 2.80 to 7.20 mm., the clasp set with old European-cut and round diamonds weighing approximately .50 carat, mounted in platinum, length 27½ inches.

Condition

FIVE-STRAND NECKLACE: One diamond missing from the clasp, but in otherwise very good condition. The pearls are predominantly round to near round with some semi-baroque examples. Presenting shades of white, gray, gold, rose, lavender and aubergine, predominately good luster, and minor to moderate blemishing. The four old European- and 7 round-cut diamonds are approximately G-H color, VS clarity. The strands are not knotted. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 53922 stating that the five-strand necklace is composed of 959 natural pearls, 11 cultured pearls and 1 pearl imitation, no indications of artificial colour modification. TRIPLE-STRAND NECKLACE: Very good condition. The round to off-round pearls present shades of white, gold, rose, lavender and gray, a predominantly waxy to satin-like luster with some bearing very good luster, and minor to moderate blemishing. The strands are not knotted. The 8 old European- and 5 round-cut diamonds are approximately G-H color, VS clarity. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 53921 stating that the three-strand necklace is composed of 566 natural pearls and 1 cultured pearl, no indications of artificial colour modification.
