Description
The cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 26.24 carats, flanked by bullet-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 1.00 carat, mounted in platinum.
Condition
Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 40589 stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin; heat enhancement: none.Very good condition. The vibrant, very slightly violetish blue sapphire is eye-clean with even color distribution; under intense light, zones of silk may be seen. Very small nick to a star facet, a minute nick to a bezel facet, and very minor nicking to the girdle. The bullet-shaped diamonds are approximately G-H color, VVS clarity. Fitted with sizing spheres; registers as a size 5 1/4 on a mandrel, but accommodates a size 6 1/2 finger.
