Description
- Tamsen Z Bijoux
Set with 2 pear-shaped and 2 oval black opals weighing a total of 36.44 carats, separated by 2 cushion-shaped amethysts and 2 etched amethysts weighing a total of 48.85 carats, mounted in dark blue titanium, unsigned but designed by Tamsen Z Bijoux.
Condition
Very good condition. The titanium mounting is enhanced with a slightly iridescent purple finish. The translucent to semi-translucent opals present moderately strong blue, green and violet play-of-color; minor internal crazing visible on close inspection, but not surface-reaching. The faceted amethysts are medium-light purple and eye-clean; the amethyst cabochons are color zoned and present polished crowns with matte pavilions; the pavilion further enhanced by a line of lozenge-shaped hatch marks along the keel. The titanium mountings make these earrings light and wearable.
