Description
Designed as a stylized blossom with scrolling petals supporting a pair of articulated fringes with bud terminals, the whole set with 204 round and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 11.50 carats and with 55 baguette and marquise-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 3.00 carats, mounted in platinum, fringes detachable.
Condition
Diamonds are G-I range and VS-SI clarity. In good condition and with nice movement when worn.

Catalogue Note
The current brooch appears to be indentical to a diamond brooch in a fashion photograph taken by Richard Avedon in 1948. According to family history, the brooch was made by John Rubel who lent it to a magazine, either Vogue or Harper's Bazaar, for the photo shoot.
