Description
- Seaman Schepps
The stylized butterflies set with numerous fancy-shaped opals, within a ground of old European-cut, old mine and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 17.00 carats, the eyes set with 2 cabochon rubies, the antennae set with 4 round emeralds, mounted in platinum, signed Seaman Schepps.
Condition
The opals are of two types, the more opaque "white" opal and a translucent "jelly" opal. A few of the opals are crazed, but in good condition overall. Diamonds are approximately G-I color and VVS-SI clarity. In good condition. Both signed Seaman Schepps. The opals are not as yellow as pictured in the catalogue. Please note that we believe these pieces were made in the late 1940's.
