The openwork cross motif, set with 36 hexagonal-shaped garnets, accented by 29 rose-cut diamonds, within a gold frame, mounted in 18 karat gold, signed Mellerio dits Meller, Madrid, 17 CX, numbered 154.  With modern fitted case.

Condition

Signed Mellerio Dits Meller 17 CX along right edge, facing. The letters CX representing -110- maybe this was commemorating some sort of anniversary. Fitted with a small lidded compartment on the reverse of the base of the cross. Garnets are a nicely matched medium deep brownish, purplish red. Diamonds are of decorative quality. Hefty, well made and in good condition. With French assay marks on pendant bail.
