Description

Designed as a series of arched links set with circular- and rose-cut diamonds between borders of circular-cut stones, the clasp collet-set with a foiled back octagonal mixed-cut sapphire, mounted in platinum and gold, French assay and indistinct maker's marks, length approximately 170mm.

Literature

Cf: Stefano Papi and Alexandra Rhodes, Famous Jewelery Collectors, London, 1999, page 164, where this bracelet is described and illustrated.

Condition

French assay marks for platinum and 18 carat gold. Indistinct maker's mark. Sapphire with scratches and abrasion to facet junctions and table. It is not possible to estimate the weight accurately as the sapphire is in a closed back setting but the measurement are 18.0 x 16.35mm. Diamond weight difficult to assess due to many stones beeing rose-cuts but estimated to be approximately 28.00 - 32.00 carats in total, good brilliance, generally H-I colour (a few J-K), SI clarity (some VS and some I). MInor scratches to metal commensurate with age and wear. In good condition.
