The sautoir composed of fifteen plique à jour enamel pansy motifs spaced by white enamel and yellow gold baton links, length approximately 1665mm, signed Lalique, French assay marks, suspending a detachable pocket watch of circular form, the bezel embellished with foliate plique à jour enamel, the back with pansy flowers, dial signed Leroy Paris.

Condition

Stamped with French assay and import marks for gold, necklace signed LALIQUE to one of the flowers. Pocket watch signed Leroy Paris on the dial and L. Leroy & Cie, horlogers de la marine, 7 Bd. de la Madeleine, Paris and numbered 68280 on the inside. Plique à jour enamel well preserved and in good condition with only a few minor loss on the white baton links and on the green foliate wreath on the watch. Mechanical movement in running condition at the time of cataloguing, but please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee future working condition of watches. Tarnish to dial. Minor tarnish and scratches to metal commensurate with age and wear. Rare piece, well preserved. In good condition.
