Sapphire and diamond brooch, Michele della Valle

Designed as a blue marlin, the head set with brilliant-cut diamonds and circular-cut sapphires, the tongue with an oval sapphire of purplish tint, the dorsal fin and tail with brilliant-cut stones, the body set with coloured carbon fibre, mounted in white gold, signed Michele della Valle and numbered, pochette.

Stamped 750 for gold, Italian assay marks, signed Michele Della Valle and numbered 090730. Sapphires well matched in colour, diamonds bright and lively, G-I colour, mainly VS clarity. Very few signs of wear and tarnish to the metal, one minor fissure to the mount, otherwise in very good condition.
